Photo Peanut FAQ

Does Photo Peanut upload my photos?

Standard image editing runs locally in your browser. The default static build has no image-processing server. Optional analytics and advertising, if enabled with appropriate consent, may process browser or device data but are not intentionally given your selected image.

Is Photo Peanut free?

The included editing tools are available without an account or payment. The site owner may enable clearly separated advertising later, but ads are disabled by default.

Which image formats work?

The core tools accept browser-decodable JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP files. PNG supports transparent output; JPG does not.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. Photo Peanut uses responsive controls and touch-friendly layouts. Very large files may need a desktop device with more memory.

Will editing remove photo metadata?

Canvas re-export normally omits EXIF and other embedded metadata. Keep your original if you need camera, copyright, or location fields.

Trust is a design constraint

Private where it counts. Honest everywhere else.

Your selected image stays local for standard editing. If the owner later enables consented analytics or advertising, those services are clearly described instead of being hidden behind an impossible “nothing is collected” promise.
